Working on a new site layout. Hopefully will be completed within the next few weeks. Cleaner, simpler, and more blog-like in appearance.

One of the problems of being a weekend web developer is the that you are essentially a moron, and you treat web creation the same way you treat dating a hot girl…you waddle through trial and error, trying different things, and screwing them all up. The logical and simple solutions completely evade you, you know…the ones that EVERYONE who designs webpages (or dates hot girls) uses…except for you, of course.
Take for instance css and photo albums. I didn’t know dreamweaver could do any of this shit until today. “Jesus Christ…were the f*ck have you guys been all of these years” was all that was running through my head…I’ve been individually sizing photos and manually adding attributes to everything on my website since day one. Idiot. Actually, to my credit, I have heard of css, I just was too lazy to learn how to use it. In one of those ironic twists of fate spending an hour learning how to create and appy style sheets would have avoided days of painfully and mindnumbing labour which is old-school photo management.

Hey Bryan, before you go using that. Think about taking a look at jalbum, http://jalbum.net/ , and using one of the many skins you can get for it. It is really simple and very easy to modify. Also, some of the skins are flash orientated so it helps to protect your images from being copied off your site, etc. Take a look at my site under the mrlang section or student work section to get an idea. That is only one skin and they are all very different in style. If you want more info just msn me or email me. Hope all is still going well with you and let me know next time you plan on coming home.
